Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Health Care Director to help lead the nursing team. You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, health assessments and supervising nursing staff to deliver excellent direct care.

The role includes managing recruitment, scheduling, training, documentation and coordinating with health services, with opportunities for on-call and shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Required: a current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state.
• Required: at least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Prefer: previous supervisory experience, preferably in senior living.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the nursing department, including recruiting, training, scheduling and ensuring quality of care.
• Verify distribution and documentation of medication, treatments and orders.
• Participate in regular resident assessments and service planning, coordinate with ancillary services as needed.
• Assist with move-in/move-out processes, tours, orientation and family communications.
• Provide direct care during health emergencies or to fill open shifts as needed.
• Relieve Health Care Director during absence and communicate concerns to the Director.

You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, health assessments and supervising the nursing staff.
