Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Assistant Health Care Director to help lead the nursing team. You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, health assessments and supervising the nursing staff.

You will make a difference in the lives of residents by ensuring they receive excellent direct care. We are looking for a licensed RN or LPN with CPR certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience; supervisory experience is preferred in senior living.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) required.
• CPR certification as required by state.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred, especially in senior living.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the management of the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care
• Verifying proper distribution and documentation of medication, treatments and orders
• Participating in regular resident assessments and service planning, and coordinating with ancillary health services
• Assists with move-in/move-out processes including tours, orientation, evaluations and family communications
• Provides direct care during health emergencies or to fill an open shift
• Relays concerns to the Health Care Director in their absence

Requirements-Assistant Health Care Director

• Required: a current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state
• Required: at least 1 year of prior relevant experience
• Prefer: previous supervisory experience, preferably in senior living
