Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking an Assistant Hardware Engineering Manager to join the High Speed OverPass Solutions team in Valley Green, PA. This role will lead a group of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of package-level connector hardware components and cable assemblies.

You will coordinate project timelines, work with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, support recruiting, and help drive engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5+ years of hardware/connector development experience.
• Previous technical leadership or mentorship experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and mechanical design practices.
• Strong project coordination, organizational, and customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers in design, development, and testing of package-level connector hardware components and cable assemblies.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, and stakeholder communications.
• Regularly engage with customers on key programs during development and implementation of hardware and connectors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including signal integrity, product management, and manufacturing.
• Contribute to engineering processes and best practices to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new engineers; participate in performance feedback.
