Job summary

Martin County West School District is seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Coach to support the school's gymnastics program. The role involves assisting with practices, teaching fundamentals, preparing for meets, and communicating with athletes, parents, and staff.

Martin County West Schools is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Gymnastics Coach to support the gymnastics program. The successful candidate will help develop student-athletes' gymnastics skills, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages athletes to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with planning and conducting practices, conditioning sessions, and skill-development activities.
• Provide instruction in gymnastics fundamentals, techniques, and event-specific skills appropriate to athletes' abilities and experience.
• Support the development of individual athletes and the overall success of the gymnastics program.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, respect, and a positive team culture.
• Help ensure athlete safety through proper supervision, equipment use, spotting, and injury-prevention practices.
• Assist with meet preparation, competitions, team organization, and other program activities.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, parents, and school administration.
• Help maintain gymnastics equipment and facilities in a safe and organized condition.
• Follow all Martin County West Schools, Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL), and applicable conference policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous gymnastics experience, coaching experience, or a strong background in gymnastics is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach and other coaching staff.
• Commitment to student-athlete development, safety, and positive sportsmanship.
• Ability to work with athletes of varying skill levels and experience.
• Must meet all applicable school district and MSHSL coaching requirements.
• Successful completion of required background checks and applicable coaching certifications.

Pay Range - Starting at $3450 based on experience.
