Job summary

PureGym US is seeking a full-time Assistant Gym Manager in Nutley, NJ to help the Gym Manager run daily operations and foster a positive club culture for members and staff. The role focuses on delivering outstanding service, team development, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across the gym.

Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding staff, interviewing and developing team members, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable.
• Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
• Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager.
• Assist the Gym Manager in recruitment of Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and onboard all new team members.
• Interview, hire and develop all new members of the team to ensure they have a great onboarding experience.
• Maintain our levels for cleanliness and organization of all areas in the gym.
• Ensure the safety of Members, Guests and Team at all times.
