Job summary

Leading Edge Before and After School in Washington, DC is hiring several enthusiastic Assistant Group Leaders to join our caring team. You’ll assist Center Directors and Group Leaders in delivering age-appropriate activities, maintain a safe environment, supervise students, support transitions and enrichment, and build positive relationships with students and families.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, part-time, $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in any professional setting.
• Friendly, dependable, and ready to support wherever needed.
• A team player with great communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Center Director & Group Leaders in delivering fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Supervise students and engage with them positively.
• Support transitions, snack time, and enrichment activities.
• Foster strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
