YMCA Southcoast is seeking an After School Group Leader support to supervise children in a range of programs and activities under the direction of the Group Leader. You will help deliver structured activities, model healthy behaviors, and help maintain a safe, positive environment for growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, adherence to state and YMCA standards, and hands-on engagement in educational, recreational, and social activities to foster youth development.

Qualifications

  • Current knowledge of state and YMCA standards and regulations specific to early education and child care.
  • Ability to effectively interact with parents and children on a range of issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in a range of children’s educational, recreational, and social activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to make mature judgments in difficult situations.

  • Communicate as required with parents and children to assure highest standards of care are being met.
  • Participate in enforcing established ground rules.
  • Participate in the maintenance of cleanliness and safety of the physical environment.

Position Summary:
