Job summary

Family Service Association - Fall River is hiring a part-time Assistant Group Leader for the After School Day Care program in Fall River, MA. The role supports the Group Leader in planning age-appropriate activities and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children.

The position is 12.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday afternoons, with extra hours in summer; required to pass a CORI/SORI background check; starting wage $16.50 per hour, with a $500 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and work under supervision.
• High School Diploma or currently enrolled in HS; or 18+ with supervision.
• Must pass CORI/SORI background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at all times during activities and transitions.
• Implement planned daily activities appropriate for the age group.
• Assist Group Leader with planning and scheduling events.
• Assist in daily site setup and takedown activities.
• Maintain daycare equipment and property in good condition.
• Report significant behaviors to the Group Leader promptly.
• Document injuries with accident reports on the same day.
• Collaborate with staff and complete goal sheets and charts.
• Perform Transportation Monitor duties as scheduled.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times.

Our After School Day Care program is looking to fill a part time (12.5 hours per week) position of Assistant Group Leader.The hourly rate is $16.50 hoursare Monday through Friday 2:00 or 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. & up to 35 hours per week in summer and vacation weeks (based on FRPS & program needs).

Job Summary

To assist the Group Leader in the planning of daily activities which are age appropriate and contribute to the social, emotional, cognitive and/or physical growth of the children.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervision of children at all times.
• Implement planned daily activities.
• Assist the Group Leader in planning and scheduling events.
• Assist in daily site setup and take down.
• Maintain equipment and daycare property.
• Report significant behaviors to the Group Leader.
• Report any injuries immediately and fill out accident reports on that day.
• Work cooperatively with other staffing filling out goal sheets and charts.
• Conduct Transportation Monitor duties as scheduled
• Conduct self in professional manner at all times

Experience Required

• The Assistant Group Leader must be at least 16 years of age and work under the direct supervision of a Group Leader.
• An Assistant Group Leader must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent or be currently enrolled in a high school program or equivalent; or be at least 18 years of age or over and work under the general supervision of the Group Leader.

**Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/SORI and fingerprint background check.**
