Position Overview - Available positions in Pilesgrove and Alloway

The Assistant Manager for Group Homes works under the supervision of the Program Director to provide supportive and compassionate care to residents while ensuring the smooth daily operation of the facility.

This role combines administrative duties with direct resident support and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care & Support

• Assist in developing and implementing individual care plans for residents
• Ensure residents receive appropriate support for daily living activities
• Monitor resident health and well-being, coordinating with healthcare providers as needed
• Foster a positive, respectful environment that promotes independence and dignity
• Respond to and manage crises or emergencies according to established protocols

Staff Supervision

• Assist in scheduling, training, and supervising direct care staff
• Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff development
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations
• Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate resident records and documentation
• Assist with budget management and expense tracking
• Ensure facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Coordinate facility maintenance and supply inventory
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner

Program Development

• Assist in planning and implementing resident activities and programs
• Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with community resources to enhance services

Requirements

• Valid NJ NON-PROBATIONARY Driver's License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with those with developmental disabilities in a group home setting
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
