Job summary

Ballantyne Country Club, an 18-hole private course in south Charlotte, seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to manage agronomy and achieve the playing conditions outlined in the club’s business plan. The role will attract and develop a talented maintenance team, focus on agronomy business, technology and continuing education, and drive long-term strategic planning.

This full-time position includes benefits after 90 days (health/vision/dental, disability, PTO, holidays) and a $50,000

Qualifications

• 2+ years turf grass management experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management with ability to teach others.
• Strong business aptitude and passion for golf industry.
• Current state pesticide applicator certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with proper fertilizer and pesticide applications.
• Irrigation repairs and maintenance experience preferred.
• Familiar with a wide variety of course maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Oversee agronomics to achieve playing conditions per business plan.
• Attract and develop talent across maintenance team.
• Focus on agronomy business, technology, and continuing education.
• Plan long-term strategic initiatives for the golf course.
