Job summary

Jackson County is seeking a qualified supervisor for the Fred Arbanas Golf Course in Missouri. The role involves supervising staff, planning and coordinating programs, and ensuring budget adherence under the Parks + Rec department.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or related field, or 4 years of golf industry management experience, PGA testing, and background/drug screening clearance. Benefits include health, dental, and pension plans.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or related field, or 4 years of management experience in the golf industry.
• Must have completed the PGA playing ability test and enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program prior to employment.
• Must submit to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising, planning, coordinating and implementing the overall objectives, policies, programs and budget control for the Fred Arbanas Golf Course.
• Provide supervision in the absence of the Golf Professional for multiple staff including pro shop clerks, driving range attendants, snack bar staff, and volunteers.
• In the absence of the Golf Professional, serve as Acting Golf Professional and manage retail budget/purchasing.
