Qualifications

• PGA PGM Associate pursuing Class A; Class A preferred.
• Experience in a golf-related role or golf management education.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, rules and etiquette.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ambassador of hospitality to members, guests and staff.
• Greet and assist members and guests to ensure a memorable visit.
• Maintain knowledge of golf operations, rules, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out opening/closing procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Process payments for shop purchases and greens fees per procedures.
• Assist in organizing and running tournaments and events.
• Support play flow and ensure service quality on the course.
• Provide basic club repair assistance as needed.
• Offer private and group instruction opportunities to members and guests.

Overview

Desert Princess Country Club is seeking a friendly, motivated and professional individual to fill the seasonal position of Assistant Golf Professional from October 15, 2026 until April 15, 2027. Desert Princess is a 27 hole, semi-private facility that serves a dynamic blend of members, home owners, on-site hotel guests and general public.

The Assistant Golf Professional assists the Head Golf Professional and Director of Golf with all golf shop activities and outside services operations. As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will play a key role in supporting the golf operations in delivering exceptional golf experiences to our members and guests. Working closely with the golf management team, you will contribute to the overall success of the golf operation by assisting with various aspects of daily operations, player development programs, and customer service initiatives.

Experience Required

• Registered PGA PGM Associate working towards Class A. Class A Member preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a golf-related role or relevant education in golf management, required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of golf equipment, rules, and etiquette.
• Valid Driver's License

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as an ambassador of hospitality and goodwill to all members, guests, and fellow team members.
• Greet and welcome members and guests throughout the club and Pro Shop; anticipate and assist with their daily needs to ensure an exceptional experience.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the entire golf operation, including all Club rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures following standard operating procedures for reconciliation, site security, etc.
• Collect fees and process payments in line with club procedures, including shop purchases and greens fees.
• Assist in organizing and running tournaments and other events.
• Organize and control play ensuring members and guests receive the best service and enjoyment during their day.
• Maintain familiarity with all merchandise and products in the Golf Shop to support sales and member service.
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Reconcile daily transactions in the Golf 365 system with corresponding tee sheet activity.
• Assist with basic club repair services as needed.
• Private and group golf instructions for members and guests opportunities are available.
• Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Desert Princess CC.
• Support all operational areas of the golf department as needed.
• Be available during weekends and holidays.
