Job summary

Austin Country Club is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Professional in Austin, TX. You will work with a team to manage all golf operations and deliver premier service to Members.

The role involves teaching, promoting golf, and assisting with camps and junior programs, using V1 software and collaborating with staff. Weekend availability is required; benefits are generous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; PGA Level 2 or higher preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in a high-end private golf operation.
• Exceptional member service and interpersonal skills.
• Teaching/Coaching experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Golf Genius is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage golf operations in coordination with other golf professionals.
• Assist with starter duties, marshal the golf course, and participate in club activities.
• Support the Golf Shop Merchandiser with concessions and controls.
• Promote and teach golf using V1 software; coordinate junior camps and programs.
• Provide excellent service to Members and guests.

YOUR ROLE

As the Assistant Golf Professional, you are involved in leading, directing, and managing all aspects of our premier private golf facility. You work closely with other golf professionals to help supervise and manage the total golf operations, ensuring a high level of service that meets the Membership's expectations for excellence. Additionally, you assist the Golf Shop Merchandiser with concession duties, maintain Golf Shop controls, and help with hard goods buying. You also assist with the starter on the first tee, marshal the golf course, and have the opportunity to play golf with Members. By promoting and teaching the game of golf, using V1 teaching software, and coordinating summer sports camps, and junior programs, you play a vital role in enhancing the overall golf experience at our club.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Level 2 or higher PGA education
• High School diploma and/or GED required. College Education preferred.
• Two to five years' experience in a high-end private golf operation
• Ability to work weekends/holidays as required
• Exceptional Member service skills
• Excellent interpersonal/relationship skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft & Golf Genius
• Teaching/Coaching experience preferred
• Playing ability
