Job summary

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily operations at the Ocean Point Pro Shop and enhance the golf experience for members and guests. The role covers tee sheet management, retail, tournaments, and member services with a professional, welcoming demeanor.

The position emphasizes organization, communication, and customer service, with opportunities for instruction and team collaboration in a premier island resort setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in the golf industry preferred.
• PGA Member or Apprentice preferred; PGM degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Golf Professional in overseeing daily golf operations, including tee sheet management and pace of play.
• Coordinate and manage tee time reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service, creating positive and professional check-in and retail experience.
• Supervise and support staff, including Cart Attendants, Starters, and Outside Services.
• Assist in the planning and execution of tournaments, outings, and group events.
• Operate and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and reconciliation.
• Maintain accountabilities for all financial transactions and daily sales reporting.
• Support merchandising efforts, including stocking, display, and sales of golf shop inventory.
• Monitor course flow, safety, and pace of play in coordination with the starter and Golf Professional Team.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, member engagement, and club events.
• Provide individual and group golf instruction as needed.
