Job summary

Bedford Golf and Tennis Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support our agronomy team and lead daily maintenance under the supervision of the Superintendent. This role is ideal for a recent turfgrass graduate or an aspiring supervisor aiming to advance in a private club setting.

The successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure to a major renovation project scheduled for 2028, including greens, tees, bunkers, and irrigation upgrades, while developing leadership and

Qualifications

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and on early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily golf course maintenance and course setup.
Supervise and work alongside seasonal staff and crew members.
Learn irrigation scheduling, hand watering, and system troubleshooting.
Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications.
Monitor turf conditions and communicate observations to management.
Support ongoing course improvement projects and renovation planning efforts.
