Job summary

The Triumph Group (The Landings Golf & Athletic Club) in Savannah, GA seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for the Deer Creek Course. This exempt/salary role focuses on budgeting, agronomical planning, scheduling, and hands-on leadership of staff.

Responsibilities include daily course setup, cultural practices, irrigation maintenance, and major projects; leadership, coaching, and safety are emphasized. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in golf course maintenance.
• Experience in leading golf course maintenance teams and projects.
• Familiarity with golf course budgets and managing budgets.
• Knowledge of pest control products and their applications.
• Knowledge of turf chemical and fertilizer products and their applications.
• Knowledge of irrigation utilization, drainage installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Current Georgia pesticide license or the ability to acquire one.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint).
• BS or AS in turf grass management or related certificate/experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing maintenance of pumps, irrigation, and drainage systems.
• Supervise daily preparation of the golf course including mowing and setup.
• Calibrate sprayers and fertilizer spreaders; assist in chemical applications.
• Inspect turf and landscapes; apply pesticides/fertilizers as needed.
• Meet and greet members/guests; respond to their needs.
• Monitor inventories; ensure chemical storage and mixing area compliance.
• Maintain records of equipment and chemical inventories.
• Train staff and enforce safety policies.
• Follow safety guidelines and club policies.
