Job summary

Sarasota National Club, located in Venice, FL, is seeking a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while expanding knowledge in golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you’ll join a global leader in golf and community management.

The role includes overseeing maintenance and construction of the course, supervising staff, and ensuring turf care meets established standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / AA or equivalent; 3–4 years related experience; degree preferred in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance budget and capital plans with Superintendent.
• Supervise and assist maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Plan and direct maintenance/construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervise planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensure construction equipment is maintained and inventories are controlled.
• Procure supplies and manage costs within budgetary limits.
• Keep records of maintenance activities and prepare reports.
