Job summary

The Triumph Group (Orangeburg Country Club) in Orangeburg, SC is seeking an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance, grow-in and construction activities. You will help with budgeting, agronomic planning and daily course setup, maintenance, cultural practices and irrigation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling tasks, applying chemicals and fertilizers, and ensuring safety and quality standards while coordinating with the Superintendent and club

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in golf course maintenance.
• Experience in leading golf course maintenance teams and projects.
• Knowledge of chemical pesticide and fertilizer products and their applications.
• Knowledge of irrigation utilization, drainage installation, repair, and maintenance.
• A current pesticide license or the ability to acquire a license.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead, delegate, train, coach staff and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities and allocate staff accordingly.
• Oversee chemical/fertilizer applications and safety compliance.
• Inspect turf conditions and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Train staff on safety policies and proper turf equipment handling.
• Monitor performance and coach staff to meet standards.
• Comply with regulations and club policies.
• Represent the club professionally with members and guests.
