Job summary

Discovery Canyon Campus High School in Colorado Springs is seeking an Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to support the Athletic Director and head coach, coordinating practices, mentoring student-athletes, and enforcing district policies.

The position is part-time with weekend or after-school commitments; required ASEP, CHSAA, NFHS certifications and a high school diploma; a strong work ethic and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• ASEP Certification required or to be obtained upon acceptance
• CHSAA Certification required or to be obtained upon acceptance
• NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification required or to be obtained upon acceptance
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Reports to Athletic Director and head coach; provides coaching, development and supervisory responsibilities of the wrestling program.
• Plans and conducts practices and competitions; develops athletes' skills and strategies.
• Maintains equipment and facilities, ensures safety and compliance with district policies.
• Communicates with stakeholders including students, parents, and staff; documents rosters and transportation requests.
• Evaluates athletes and communicates progress and needs to coaching staff and trainers.
