Job summary

Starting immediately, the coach will plan practices, guide event techniques, attend required IAHSAA trainings, and assist with logistics while upholding school policies and district expectations.

Qualifications

• Valid Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement, or willingness to obtain one per Iowa standards.
• Knowledge of IAHSAA rules, regulations, and best practices for coaching student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, meets, team activities, and seasonal training programs.
• Provide instruction in track and field events, techniques, conditioning, and competition strategies.
• Support student-athlete development through training, goal setting, and individualized instruction.
• Attend IAHSAA rules meetings, clinics, and required training.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with coaching staff, students, and school administrators.
• Assist with meet preparation, event assignments, equipment, transportation, and program logistics.
• Ensure compliance with MMCRU policies and IAHSAA regulations.
