Qualifications

• Coaching basketball at school level with emphasis on skill development and sportsmanship.
• Must hold CT Coaching Certificate and valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Completed concussion training module prior to coaching duties.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants for skill and team achievement in basketball.
• Plans and schedules a regular in-season practice program.
• Works with the athletic director to schedule interscholastic contests.
• Recommends equipment, supplies, and uniforms as needed.
• Oversees safety conditions of the facility during activities.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanship and sets penalties for misconduct.
• Seeks to improve the overall quality of the program.
• Supports and promotes the District's Core Ethical Values with students, families, and staff.
