Qualifications

• Experience in coaching wrestling at high school or collegiate level is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules and training methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to motivate student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes and parents.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or to be obtained within a specified timeframe.
• Commitment to academic success and personal growth of student-athletes.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel for competitions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the head coach to develop game strategies and prepare for competitions.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, promoting the benefits of the wrestling program.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety protocols and eligibility requirements.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team policies and expectations.
• Assist in organizing team events, fundraising efforts, and community outreach programs.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with best practices in coaching and athlete development.

• Previous experience in coaching wrestling at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and training methodologies.

• Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, athletes, and parents.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.

Must be able to pass a background check, physical and TB test.
