Job summary

U-Haul in Belmont, CA seeks an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily center operations in the absence of the General Manager. You will guide a team to deliver excellent service, manage tasks, and ensure smooth customer flow.

This role requires leadership, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to hands-on training through U-Haul University. Expect diverse duties, including vendor coordination, safety compliance, and helping customers with hitching, rentals, and roadside resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Leadership experience in any form.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive excellent first impressions and high-quality care.
• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
