Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and people management across our locations. This entry-level managerial opportunity offers growth, learning, and hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will coach teams, ensure strong customer service, uphold food safety standards, and maintain brand integrity while driving operational performance.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of non-management associates and coach shift supervisors.
• Be capable of performing GM duties in their absence.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially when morale is low.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards, procedures, and landlord/labor relations to maximize outcomes.
• Keep the restaurant clean, inviting, and aligned with brand standards.
• Ensure cash handling is accurate and reports are delivered as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to foster positive relationships.
• Verify inventory data with regular spot counts and checks.
