Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved bakery-cafe team. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, hire and develop staff, and ensure exceptional guest service with a focus on quality and teamwork.

You’ll manage shifts, training, and performance, while maintaining cost controls and Panera’s guiding values. This role emphasizes growth, culture, and delivering an outstanding guest experience across a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead an amazing team and a bakery-cafe to success, overseeing operations with the General Manager.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, and people development; focus on career growth and succession planning.
• Hire, onboard, train, and motivate the team; energize and celebrate the whole crew.
