Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. This role leads hotel operations under the General Manager, with a focus on service excellence, budgeting, staff development, and ensuring brand standards across daily duties.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of AGM experience and a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure
• Oversees hotel operations under the direction of the General Manager
• Ensures overall guest satisfaction to drive brand metrics
• Ensures compliance with brand standards
• Maintaining statistical and financial records
• Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
• Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
• Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
• Meeting and greeting customers
• Dealing with customer complaints and comments
• Addressing problems and troubleshooting
• Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
• Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings

• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Assistant General Manager
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
