Job summary

SFE- Southwest Foodservice Excellence in Shiprock, NM seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead district-wide food service operations, supervise staff, ensure high-quality meals, and deliver a positive dining experience for students and staff.

You will drive labor and cost control, uphold safety standards, participate in hiring, and collaborate with district administrators to maintain exceptional service across assigned sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in food service and fresh food production.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food preparation and service to meet quality and portioning standards.
• Support sales, customer service, and cleanliness goals through staff training and leadership.
• Ensure proper cash handling and compliance with procedures.
• Participate in hiring decisions with the General Manager.
• Schedule team members based on labor goals and meal volumes.
• Promote a friendly, responsive and inclusive service environment.
• Maintain health, safety, labor, and operational compliance.
