Miss J's Cafe is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations. The AGM will ensure smooth service, maintain food safety standards, and foster a positive, motivated team environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing, supervising dining room and kitchen, managing inventory, and enforcing health and safety regulations while coaching staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory or assistant management experience in the restaurant industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for customer service and hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and basic business operations.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with daily operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Oversee dining room and kitchen operations during shifts to ensure smooth service.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and deliveries to meet business needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Lead and train front- and back-of-house staff; support scheduling and team development.
• Monitor service quality and address guest concerns to maintain high satisfaction.
• Assist in achieving sales and profitability targets and cost-control efforts.
