Ohio Logistics in New York’s Southern Tier Logistics Business Park is seeking a driven Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager. You will lead warehousing, safety, shipping/receiving, and supply chain activities to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements and strategic objectives.

You will manage metrics, develop a team, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Analyze and report the team’s results on a regular periodic basis to senior management and recommend corrective action to improve future performance.
• Design, implement, and constantly improve material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes to optimize throughput, minimize cost/investment, and satisfy customer demand.
• Ensure safe, efficient warehouse facility operations by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.
• Actively coach, counsel, mentor & inspire associates to facilitate personal growth and development.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to move throughout warehouse and office environments regularly. This position involves standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional bending, reaching, climbing, or kneeling during facility walkthroughs or operational support activities.

• Lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds occasionally (with assistance as needed).
• Navigate warehouse aisles, racking areas, and production floors safely.
• Perform fine motor tasks such as keyboard use, handheld device operation, and document handling.
• Maintain visual and auditory awareness to observe operations, identify safety concerns, and communicate effectively with team members in busy or noisy settings.

Work Environment

• Variable temperatures, including exposure to heat, cold, or humidity depending on seasonal conditions and storage requirements.
• Moderate to loud noise levels from equipment, forklifts, and general warehouse activity.
• Moving mechanical equipment, powered industrial vehicles, and other operational machinery.

The associate will regularly use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer) as well as warehouse technologies such as handheld scanners, RF devices, and facility management systems.

Compliance with all safety protocols and PPE requirements—including safety footwear, high-visibility apparel, and other protective gear is mandatory when entering operational areas. Some travel may be required to support multiple facilities, conduct audits, or participate in leadership meetings.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or a GED.
• 3 years of managerial experience in a warehouse operation.
• 3 years of supervisory experience.
