Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality Management is hiring an Assistant General Manager for Sparks Residence Inn in Sparks, NV. Salary range is $52,000 to $57,000 annually, with bonus potential based on experience.

The role focuses on leading teams, delivering exceptional guest service, and ensuring daily hotel operations run smoothly. As an onsite leadership role, you will support the General Manager, recruit and train staff, manage scheduling and inventory, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the hotel to ensure outstanding guest service and operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members while promoting a positive work environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing hotel associates, including brand and safety training.
• Help oversee scheduling, inventory, ordering, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, franchise standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with employee performance management, coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
• Conduct or assist with team meetings and ongoing staff communication.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives and assist with group and travel agent requests.
• Perform General Manager duties in the GM's absence.
• Assist in all hotel departments as business needs require.

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel while helping deliver exceptional guest experiences, leading team members, and ensuring operational excellence. Required

• Preferred 1+ year of hotel leadership experience in a Select Service or Extended Stay property.
