Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports overall studio operations and customer experience, & customer satisfaction. The AGM also oversees a team of hourly photographers who craft a memorable experience capturing the moments through their lens. This multifaceted role involves managing photographers, logistics and scheduling, and maintaining equipment inventory and maintenance.This leadership role includes team supervisory responsibilities, administrative support, and contribution to studio and individual sales goals. This position serves as a stepping stone to a team member’s growth and development as a people and studio leader.

Top 5 Responsibilities

  1. Support in strategy and execution of strategy toward achieving revenue and retail goals
  2. Responsible for the execution of photography events, Senior portrait sessions, and photography processing within CADY’s operational, photographic, and customer service standards
  3. Maintain staff levels and labor hours in accordance with internal staffing budget
  4. Recruit, train, and develop the studio team
  5. Assist with creating the schedule and approving time cards

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Problem solving issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc) and taking action for prevention
  2. Assist with weekly inventory
  3. Ensure proper workflows are followed during event downloading to prevent any loss or corruption of images
  4. Ensure the studio is organized and presentable in all areas
  5. Confirm opening and closing procedures are properly completed daily
  6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a satisfactory background check
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Available to work weekend hours during busy season
  • Flexible, with a team player mentality; Willingness to collaborate with colleagues on ideas and initiatives
  • Professional demeanor at all times with both customers and team members
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and team members
  • Able to prioritize tasks
  • Able to lead, supervise, and/or manage team members

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Extended periods of viewing computer screens
  • Able to walk/move inside or outside for more than 6 consecutive hours
  • Significant noise and other potential sensory stimulants (i.e., busy retail environment with camera flashes, music, and sometimes crowded areas)
  • Able to lead, supervise, and/or manage team members
  • Able to move up to 20 lbs
  • Able to bend/stoop
