Company Overview

Theoria Medical is a comprehensive medical group and technology company dedicated to serving patients across the care continuum with an emphasis on post-acute care and primary care. Theoria serves facilities across the United States with a multitude of services to improve the quality of care delivered, refine facility processes, and enhance critical relationships. We offer a broad scope of services including multispecialty physician services, telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and more.

We are currently seeking skilled professionals to join our Legal Department. The successful candidates will support the legal team in contract drafting (including NDAs, contractor agreements, vendor agreements, and employment agreements), legal research, healthcare regulatory compliance, and general legal assistance.

Shift Structure

  • Remote position, M-F, 40-50 hours/week
  • Preferred hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR and operations to provide guidance on labor and employment matters, including employee relations, policies, and workplace compliance.
  • Act as a legal liaison between HR, operations, and other internal departments to ensure compliance with employment and healthcare regulations.
  • Assist with internal investigations, policy development, and legal risk assessments.
  • Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts, including responding to employment-related claims.

Ideal Candidates Should Possess:

  • Strong understanding of labor and employment law, including federal and state regulations impacting healthcare organizations.
  • Experience in healthcare compliance, particularly in post-acute and primary care settings.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong research and drafting capabilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift or move up to 20 lbs
  • Prolonged periods using computer and typing
  • Reliable transportation for external filings or mailings

Requirements and Qualifications

  • J.D. and active Bar license
  • 5+ years of employment litigation
  • Experience in multi-state labor & employment matters.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, litigation strategy, and internal investigations.
  • Tech-savvy – Comfortable using tools like Monday.com, Slack, Google Suite, MS Office.
