Job description

Private Equity arm of a global alternative investment management firm is seeking a new VP of Finance.

Over the past few years the firm has leveraged more than $170b in AUM to invest an various market leading businesses across:

  • Consumer Goods

With the recent surge in AI/Tech, they have established themselves as one of the world's biggest investors in the space and continue to fundraise as they look for future investment opportunities in this sector. Because of this growth, the Controller + CFO are looking to hire a new VP to lead a team and report key metrics to senior leadership to influence decision-making.

Although the core of this position is Fund Accounting by nature, the VP will have a staff reporting to them, handling what can be considered mundane preparation. The VP will act as a team leader to provide complex analysis of various waterfalls and spend about 40-50% of their time presenting this key information to the front office/senior leadership while also helping incorporate various AI tools into this business to increase efficiency.

This team runs very lean, under the umbrella of a “mega fund” which is unique as the VP is essentially taking on CFO like responsibilities and not being siloed in their day-to-day responsibilities.

VP’s are eligible to invest in current funds within the Private Equity portfolio (5-year vesting period).

Compensation target: $175k-$250k base + 30-40% bonus + opportunity to invest in funds + other long term incentive options
