Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The primary responsibility of this position is instructing student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the sport of Football.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Head Football Coach and Deputy Director of Athletics

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

N/A

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the head coach with all aspects of teaching skills and strategies for Football during practice and games in both traditional and non-traditional seasons (at least 50%).
  • Provide individual instruction in positions such as Defensive Backs, Defensive Line, Offensive Line, and Tight Ends.
  • Assist in creating individual plans, adhering to NCAA bylaws.
  • Support student-athlete welfare, physical health, team concepts, and safety.
  • Coordinate team logistics with athletic department staff and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Report any knowledge or receipt of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation reports to the appropriate university office.
  • Assist in developing and implementing recruiting plans.
  • Promote affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity in all responsibilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the season schedule.
