Job summary

Oregon City High School in Oregon City, OR seeks a football coach for the 2026-2027 season. The successful candidate will uphold high ethical standards and align with district policies, serving as a role model for student-athletes, building rapport with players, teaching fundamentals and strategy, and supporting all Oregon City programs.

The coach will oversee all aspects of the football program and report to the OCHS Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• NFHS/ASEP certified coaching required.
• OSAA concussion, ODE steroid, and OSAA heat tests completed before start.
• Effective communication with administration, staff, community, parents and student-athletes.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Will coach individual participants to achieve excellence in the sport.

The individual accepting this position will coach football beginning in the 2026-2027 season. This coach will possess high ethical and moral standards and be able to work under the guidelines and policies set forth by the Oregon City School District, High School and Athletic Department. They should be an excellent role model for high school student/athletes, establish rapport with players, teach the fundamentals and strategy of football and be supportive of all Oregon City programs. The chosen applicant will help oversee all aspects of the high school football program.

Special Requirements

• 1. Must be NFHS/ASEP certified.
• 2. Prior to start of employment, must have completed: OSAA Concussion test, ODE Steroid test and OSAA Heat Test.
• 3. Ability to effectively communicate with administration, teaching staff, community members, parents and student athletes.
• 4. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• 5. Will coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.

POSITION START DATE: 2026-2027 SEASON
