Job Responsibilities:

1. Assists Head Coach in a summer/offseason program to develop skills and strength.
2. Assists Head Coach and is timely with appropriate management and paperwork requirements for things such as eligibility, registration, match scores, records, etc.
3. Cooperates with the athletic and school administration to provide a quality Athletic experience for all athletes.
4. Provides proper supervision and administration of locker room, training room, and bus trips.
5. Maximizes practice time for both individual and team development.
6. Assists/Supports the Head Coach in developing a well organized practice schedule which utilizes their staff at all levels.
7. Assists/Supports the Head Coach in developing a well-defined academic plan for all students to increase academic performance.
8. Participates in banquets and recognizes athletes for their accomplishments.
9. Is concerned about the care of equipment, including issuance, collection, inventory, and storage.
10. Communicates with administration about athletic equipment requests, budget needs, unusual events, etc.
11. Follows proper district procedure for the purchase of equipment and operates within the budget.
12. Attends all-conference meetings and stays in compliance with IHSA requests.
13. Maintains communication with feeder coaches, programs, parents, athletes, and the bus barn both within and outside the season.

Minimum Requirements:

Assistant Football Coach at Plano High School for the 2025-26 school year. PEL, Substitute Teacher and/or ASEP certification required.
