Company Description
Twin Farms is located in bucolic Barnard, Vermont, about 90 minutes from Burlington, three hours from Boston, or five from New York City. Stays are reserved for adults only and are inclusive of all meals, fine wines and spirits, as well as all activities and equipment.

Job Description
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the F&B Manager with the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Serves as a member of the leadership team, particularly in functions related to performance management, motivation, and efficient use of resources.
  • Sets the tone and standards for professional, knowledgeable, and friendly dining service.
  • Motivates and supports staff in developing their serving skills, wine and food knowledge, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Plays a key role in planning and executing group functions as part of the F&B team.
  • Assists with administration tasks such as purchase orders, staff scheduling, and timesheet review.
  • Acts as a primary communicator within the department regarding daily dining operations.
  • Opens and/or closes dining areas, ensuring all details and assets are prepared for service.
  • Oversees room arrangements and final setup, paying attention to details.
  • Makes quick, practical decisions balancing guest, staff, and company interests.
  • Expedites food and drink service and fills in various staff roles as needed.
  • Maintains safety standards for guests and staff, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Monitors inventory and equipment, submitting requisitions when necessary.
  • Coordinates with kitchen staff to review menus and address guest needs.
  • Handles guest relations, addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Works to smooth service flow and manage disruptions.
  • Participates in hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff management in collaboration with HR.
  • Inspects staff grooming and attire, rectifying deficiencies.

Required Working Conditions include but are not limited to:

  • Fast-paced, physical environment with changing demands.
  • Desk work and physical activities like reaching, bending, walking.
  • Travel and transporting materials, sometimes in bad weather.
  • Regularly lifting 10-15 pounds; occasionally up to 40 pounds.
  • Team leadership and collaboration.
  • Long hours, including weekends and holidays, with availability for emergencies.
