Overview

Opportunity: Assistant Food & Beverage Director

Assist in overseeing all food and beverage functions and outlets, ensuring the division meets financial and guest service goals while adhering to sustainability standards.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring adherence to brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
  2. Monitor performance to ensure compliance with service, sanitation, and productivity standards to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  3. Control food & beverage inventories and related equipment.
  4. Manage labor costs and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with Health Department ratings.
  5. Oversee food preparation and organize multiple projects, managing priorities to meet deadlines.
  6. Forecast and monitor food & beverage revenues and expenses to meet financial goals.
  7. Implement new menu items and policies to enhance customer satisfaction and value perception.
  8. Develop and manage the annual food & beverage budget.
  9. Ensure proper ordering and receiving procedures are followed for cost control.
  10. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  11. Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Progressive management experience in a similar-sized hotel or venue.

Work Environment and Context

  1. Work hours vary and may include holidays and weekends.
  2. Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other physical activities.
