Job summary

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is seeking a hands-on Assistant Food and Beverage Director to help bring our evolving dining and event experiences to life during a transformative renovation.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Director, this role will lead daily operations across the resort’s restaurants, banquets and events, golf club dining, poolside offerings, in-room dining, and other F&B experiences, while modeling service standards and supporting outlet leaders to deliver a

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressively responsible F&B experience in a full-service hospitality setting.
• At least two years of supervisory or management experience.
• Working knowledge of restaurant and banquet operations, staffing, scheduling, and guest recovery.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership style and commitment to team development.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Experience with multi-outlet operations or openings/renovations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, culinary arts, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support outlet leaders, and team members.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef to improve food quality, timing, and communication.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, labor, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Sales, Culinary and other departments for events.
• Respond to guest and member concerns with urgency and care.
• Lead operation when F&B Director is unavailable.
• Prepare the department for new dining experiences during renovation.

The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort is entering an exciting new era. As the resort undergoes a transformative renovation and repositioning, we are seeking a hands-on Assistant Food and Beverage Director to help bring our evolving dining and event experiences to life.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Director, this role will help lead daily operations across the resort’s restaurants, banquets and events, golf club dining, poolside offerings, in-room dining, and other Food & Beverage experiences. The Assistant Director will serve as a visible leader in the operation, support outlet leaders, reinforce service standards, and help ensure that our guests and members receive a consistent, thoughtful, and memorable experience.

What You Will Do

• Support the Food and Beverage Director in implementing departmental priorities, service standards, and operating procedures.
• Provide hands-on leadership during key service periods, special events, weekends, holidays, and high-volume business levels.
• Coach and support outlet leaders, and team members.
• Partner with the Executive Chef and culinary leaders to strengthen food quality, service timing, and communication.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, labor management, inventory, purchasing, cost controls, and departmental reporting.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Sales, Culinary, and other resort departments to support group programs and special events.
• Respond to guest and member concerns with urgency, sound judgment, and genuine care.
• Assume additional operational leadership when the Food and Beverage Director is unavailable.
• Help prepare the department for new and renovated dining experiences throughout the resort’s transformation.

What You Will Bring

• Three or more years of progressively responsible Food & Beverage experience in a full-service hotel, resort, private club, restaurant, banquet, or comparable hospitality environment.
• At least two years of supervisory or management experience.
• Working knowledge of restaurant and banquet operations, staffing, scheduling, service standards, and guest recovery.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and a genuine commitment to team development.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.
• Experience with multi-outlet operations or a hospitality opening, renovation, or repositioning is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
