Job description

The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Transportation Branch, Museum Support Services Division, Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR), Facilities Management, Under Secretary for Finance and Administration. OFMR is responsible for all Smithsonian facilities, many of which are designated as historic and all of which are visited by millions each year.

Experience:You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as developing management directives or operational handbooks; managing activities related to the acquisition, utilization, disposal and reporting ofmobileassetsviareporting toolssuch as FleetManagement Information System (FMIS); planning, managing, operating, and servicing/repairing of mobile assets;and overseeing a re-fueling program which includes fuel cardsor onsite fueling stationmanagement.
