A leading organization in Lancaster is seeking a Finance Supervisor to oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency across various programs. The ideal candidate will manage the accounting team and support the Finance Director in strategic initiatives, contributing to effective financial planning and reporting.
Job Goal:
To support the Finance Director by managing financial operations, supervising the accounting team, and overseeing the Medical Access Program (MAP) to ensure compliance, fiscal integrity, and efficient service delivery.
Essential Functions/Duties:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Accounting Supervision:
Directly supervise staff accountants; assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and mentorship.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Medical Access Program Oversight:
Oversee financial operations related to the Medical Access Program, including budgeting, funding allocations, and financial reporting.
Collaborate with program managers to monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with program goals.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of MAP-related payments and reimbursements.
Analyze program financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency and sustainability.
Strategic & Operational Support:
Assist the Finance Director in developing and implementing departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
Contribute to financial forecasting, budget preparation, and long-term financial planning as well as district banking.
Serve as a liaison between finance and program departments to ensure financial transparency and collaboration.
Lead or support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
