The Town of Scarborough is seeking a full-time Assistant Operations Supervisor in the Public Works Department. This role is a technically advanced outside operations position requiring the ability to supervise staff, operate equipment and ensure maintenance per engineering standards.

Applicants should have knowledge of street/sidewalk/ storm drain maintenance, a valid Maine Class B or A operator's license, and be prepared for a pre-employment physical.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of materials, methods and techniques used in street, sidewalk and storm drain maintenance and construction.
• Ability to operate construction equipment and supervise employees engaged in such work.
• Pre-employment physical required to verify fitness for duties.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Operations Supervisor in supervising operations staff and winter operations.
• Repair streets and all associated infrastructure; maintain and operate town cemeteries and beaches.
• Inspect work to ensure conformance with engineering specs and standards.
• Perform record keeping and administrative tasks related to daily operations.
