Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a northeastern Kansas farm in seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations while partnering with ownership on planning and execution of production and custom harvest activities.

The ideal candidate will actively manage equipment, supervise seasonal staff, and contribute to planning, scheduling, and efficiency improvements on a growing operation. Housing options available and confidentiality emphasized.

Qualifications

• Strong crop production background.
• Experience operating and maintaining modern farm equipment.
• Ability to lead or supervise and work independently.
• Willingness to grow into a larger role.
• Stable work history.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily crop production operations
• Operate and maintain modern farm equipment
• Support planting, spraying, harvesting, and hauling
• Help coordinate custom harvesting crews and schedules
• Assist with maintenance planning and equipment readiness
• Support operational decision-making and efficiency improvements
• Potential to help manage employees and seasonal labor
• Assist with feedlot operations if brought back into use
• Work closely with owner on planning and execution
