Job summary

Historic New England’s Casey Farm in Saunderstown, Rhode Island seeks an Assistant Farm Manager to support the farm manager across organic CSA operations and weekly farmers market activities.

You will supervise farm hands and volunteers, help with greenhouse work and field tasks, assist in selling produce, and communicate with visitors about farm programs. This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, and a valid driver's license to operate farm equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of job-related experience.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to drive farm equipment are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise farm hands in harvesting, transplanting, weeding, and field preparation.
• Assist in greenhouse seeding, transplanting, field work, materials movement, equipment maintenance, and supervising groundskeeper.
• Assist in supervising Work Shares and volunteers.
• Assist in selling and donating produce.
• Answer questions from visitors about farm activities.
• Perform other duties as required.
