Smiths Detection seeks an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to administer security measures under the FSO for compliance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM and related requirements for classified and unclassified contracts, materials, documents, and equipment.
The AFSO will manage badge issuance, document destruction, self-inspections, and security training across site personnel, with oversight from the CFSO and ISSM/ISSO teams. A Secret/Top Secret clearance is required.
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will administer security measures under the direction of the FSO as necessary for implementing applicable requirements of the 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM and related federal requirements for classified and unclassified contracts, materials, documents and equipment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Experience: 1-3 years’ experience working in a government-secured environment as an AFSO
Education: Bachelors Degree

The total compensation for this position ranges from $95,227 /yr - $142,839 /yr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities of the applicant and the alignment with the internal team & market data).
