Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Manager to support daily operations of an automotive repair facility. You will drive performance, mentor staff, supervise workflow, and ensure outstanding customer service.

You will monitor metrics, coach employees, and partner with the Facility Manager on development and compliance to sustain growth and quality service. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.

Position Summary

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll support the Facility Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the automotive repair facility. This role is responsible for helping drive operational performance, supporting team development, managing workflow, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The Assistant Manager helps monitor key business metrics, assist with employee coaching and development, and provide leadership and operational support to ensure efficient shop operations and a positive customer experience.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Previous supervisory or management and/or project management experience.
• Customer service and sales experience.

Work Environment

• This position involves sitting, standing, walking, and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting, and carrying typical office equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight).
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Normal or corrected hearing to the level of ability to receive detailed information orally and to accurately understand normal conversations, both in person and on the telephone.

Compensation

Assistant Facility Managers will earn a competitive annual salary of $55,000 - $70,000 with monthly bonus potential based on performance. Benefits

Time Off & Leave

• Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment.
• Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements.
• Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.
• Paid Holidays:
• Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
• Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
• Paid leave programs, including parental, bereavement, jury duty, and military leave.
