Assistant Facilities Manager
Borsheims is looking for a full-time Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.
We are seeking a detailed and organized individual responsible for cleaning, facility maintenance, and specialized projects for the overall facility, including the retail store and corporate offices. If you have facilities supervisory experience, are driven, value customer service, and enjoy hands-on work, this may be the role for you.
Qualified Candidates Should Have
- 1-2 years of supervisory/people management experience.
- Experience with facilities cleaning and maintenance.
- Experience working with hand tools, floor machines, and general maintenance equipment.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC (no certifications required).
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Experience working with outside contractors is a plus.
- Experience with budget management.
You Will
- Manage maintenance and cleaning for Borsheims retail store and corporate offices to ensure the facility is maintained in excellent condition, both inside and out.
- Train, develop, evaluate, provide coaching, and give ongoing feedback to maintenance and cleaning staff.
- Communicate information from management regarding events, policies, procedures, and general updates.
- Set staff work schedules and ensure adherence to payroll and maintenance budgets.
- Oversee purchases of supplies, including paper, cleaning products, lighting, and office materials.
- Contract and collaborate with vendors for cleaning, trash removal, recycling, lighting, equipment, glass, display cases, carpet cleaning, elevator repair, HVAC, vending machines, etc.
- Ensure organization and inventory of supplies, equipment, and records.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain company delivery vehicle.
- Assist in planning, bidding, and contracting for special projects such as construction, remodeling, maintenance, repair, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
