Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a production operator to join our team in a facility following ISO and GMP standards. The role involves operating resin blending equipment, inspecting materials, and ensuring compliance with product specifications.

You will participate in a structured wage progression based on skills, training, and performance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 9–12 months of related experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 9–12 months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Make corrections and notify operator if non-conforming material is produced.
  • Ensure raw materials have been approved for use.
  • Commitment to ISO policies, GMPs, procedures and food safety practices.
  • Test and document substrate basis weight and appearance; retain samples as required.
  • Document raw material usage and defects; maintain production chronology.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of unused raw materials.
  • Set up resin blenders; ensure calibration of instruments before use.
  • Monitor and control production when operator is absent; adjust as needed.
  • Verify calibration records and control charts for in-line and bench-top instruments.
  • Set up and clean up machines; perform any other duties as required.

Wage
  • $20 - $27/hour
  • The position is eligible for a structured wage progression program based on skills, experience and progression mile stones
Hours
  • 12 hour shifts
  • 4 on 4 off rotation schedule
  • Note: Schedule is approximately 48 hours per week (2,704 annually)
  • Overtime paid in accordance with company policy and applicable law
Essential Duties And Tasks

  • Make necessary corrections for and notify operator if non-conforming material is produced.
  • Ensure raw materials have been approved for use.
  • Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMP’s, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees
  • Responsible for substrate basis weight and appearance sample testing, documentation, and retention.
  • Responsible for documentation of raw material usage and defects and the chronology of production.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of any unused raw material returns.
  • Responsible for the setup of the resin blenders.
  • Monitor and control of the process and production when operator is absent.
  • Verifying in-line and bench top measuring and test instruments are calibrated through the calibration records and/or verification control charts prior to using.
  • Set-up and Clean-up machine.
  • All other duties as required
Qualifications, Education And Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Nine to twelve months related experience and/or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
