Job summary

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. is hiring immediately for a full-time Assistant Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager. The role oversees the culinary team and kitchen operations to uphold high standards, assist in hiring and training, and manage inventory and costs.

You will report to the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager and contribute to maintaining quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. The position includes comprehensive benefits and competitive pay with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary management experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for occasional duties
• Experience in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience in managing a team and developing future leaders
• Experience in training programs and cost control

Responsibilities

• Operational excellence in the kitchen
• Delegate tasks and guide kitchen staff
• Conduct initial interviews for kitchen roles
• Develop and mentor Sous Chefs and staff
• Prepare work schedules for kitchen team
• Maintain safety certifications for staff
• Oversee training and ensure quality of recipes and procedures
• Manage food costs and inventory
• Ensure timely production and order accuracy
• Perform opening/closing checklists and equipment maintenance
