FCL Builders is hiring an Assistant Estimator to support our Pre-Construction team in developing accurate project costs, reviewing plans, coordinating with subcontractors, and preparing competitive bids. If you’re detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to grow your career in construction estimating, this is your opportunity.

You’ll gain internship or entry-level experience, read drawings, perform takeoffs, solicit proposals, and help prepare bid documents while collaborating with estimators

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Internship or entry-level experience in construction estimating is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus.

Mansioni

• Assist in developing construction estimates from conceptual designs through detailed plans and specs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam or other on-screen takeoff software.
• Solicit, organize, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Help prepare bid summaries, scope sheets, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, discrepancies, and risks.
• Support the preparation of project RFIs and value engineering ideas.
• Maintain historical cost data, bid records, and subcontractor information.
• Collaborate with Estimators, project teams, architects, consultants, and BD throughout Pre-Construction.
• Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and bid reviews as needed.
